Rubber Dinghy (RIB) Rental on Capri (No License)

0 stars would be more accurate. If you a female, DO NOT use this place for a scooter rental. They were judgemental from the moment i walked up. I am the one who booked and paid for the reservation. These people are judgement, SEXIST, rude, disrespectful and treated me TERRIBLY as a woman. They let my partner rent a scooter but they also gave him a much better chance and explanation. I told them that I had ridden a scooter but needed a refresher and a chance to get reacquainted. They told me an incorrect explanation for gas and then said I was the one who didn't know how to ride a scooter. I have driven scooters and other vehicles where the gas is clear, but I feel like they told me different just to set me up and make SURE i didnt leave with a scooter because I was a woman. With 3-4 italian men surrounding me, yelling at me, and judging me, it was very scary and intimidating. I feel like I was set up for failure and my dream of riding a scooter in capri has been ruined. they made me test drive up their steep hill with 3-4 italian men staring at me, yelling at me. They explained to me wrong for giving gas and then blamed ME and were yelling “you dont know how to ride a scooter!!!” In front of everyone on the street. They humiliated me. When i drove the scooter a little bit up the hill and out of the way, he said that I didnt know how to ride a scooter and yelled at me again. I was in complete control and not worried about it at all. The ride on the scooter through capri was not even difficult as the roads and hills are well built. Yet, They ruined the entire experience. They also gave my partner the crappiest bike that they had. It would not go past 30 MPH and was clearly a junky bike. Do not go here if you are a woman. If you are a man, they will treat you a little better.

The only way to see Capri, I rented a 50cc, and it was a smudge underpowered for two full-grown, especially if you had to stop and re-start in a hill it sounded like it would die. The complete process of renting, picking up, and returning was smooth and easy. The scooter was fairly trustworthy, it was a bit hard to start when warm, and it seemed like it had too little air in the front tire as it was hard to corner with. I have had a Vespa 50cc at home, and I drive a 650 normally so I am used to riding. I can not imagine driving a bus or a car there. Not sure how fun it would be if the roads were wet, as they are very steep and winding. We visited every little point on the island and we had the scooter for 5 hours, it was well worth it. I felt confident they would help if I had issues. It was very helpful to get a map or recommend places to go, where to park, where to not drive, and so on.

Amazingly sweet bunch of guys making sure you have a great time in Capri. They give you map for the entire town with parking directions and charge you on flexible basis(3/4/5hr) instead of a single full day charge. Our whole experience of Capri super positive thanks to the smooth experience of hiring and driving the scooty. They are located just opposite the Marina Grande, where most tour boats and ferries are docked.
