Simple home cooking, same-day-fresh ingredients, and great value for money: you just can't go wrong with Capri's "Lo Sfizio" restaurant and pizzeria!

The perfect pit stop

Lo Sfizio is located along the peaceful pathway which, from the Piazzetta, leads up to Villa Jovis, making it the ideal place to have lunch either before or after you visit the best conserved of Emperor Tiberius' island residences.

Big is beautiful

Designed for those with a healthy appetite, at Lo Sfizio you won't find fancy creative recipes or nouvelle cuisine style rationing, but rather abundant portions of traditional ravioli capresi, sea food linguine, and the very freshest of local fish.

Finger-licking good

Lo Sfizio is famous for its pizzas, cooked in a traditional wood burning oven, and its grilled chicken, the restaurant's much-loved signature dish.

Lo sfizio's fragrant pizzas and delicious chicken can be eaten in or taken away

At Lo Sfizio, clients eat in the main dining room or outside, at one of the tables positioned on the path leading to Villa Jovis, or in the small garden next to the restaurant.

OK but expensive

A pleasant 10 to 12 minute walk from our hotel ( Regina Christina). We sat outside for dinner; the place does a brisk trade in take away pizzas which made the inside rather crowded and noisy. My wife chose the specialty of the day, amberjack (a fish) with a few shellfish. She rated it as satisfactory but not outstanding. I had grilled octopus which again was OK but not great. (I think we are spoiled with excellent seafood in Australia). The staff were friendly and helpful (neither of us have much Italian). The price, like most of Europe, was extortionate. Menu and drinks prices seem to be slightly above Australian prices in the number but the currency is Euros. For example a typical price for a coffee is €7 which is roughly $AU14!

Excellent Italian food

Best food we had on our holiday in South Italy . We were staying in Capri for three days. We stopped in here for lunch after our visit to Villa Jorvis. Italian food at its best. Excellent menu with lots of fish dishes. We stayed for two hours and had a starter and main course and a bottle of wine. Not cheap but the food was excellent. The starters were large. I had the anchovies and my husband had the mussels. Mains we had octopus and the special fish dish. If you are in Capri for the day it is worth the walk up to this restaurant.
