A very bad experience

Unfortunately, ouroverall experience with Alilauro Gruson was a very bad one. Firstly, we bought online from capri.com a two ways trip from Sorrento to Capri and around Capri. We paid , got the confirmation. Surprise, at the Alilauro office in Sorrento harbour, nobody knew about this and promised a refund. Ok, it was stressful but we decided to save the day and bought another 2 ways trip to Capri. We arrived ok in Capri, made the trip around the island separately. The trip back to Sorrento started nice but ended absolutely crazy. The tnoat was suposed to arrive in Sorrento but...during the trip they decided to change the course to ...Castelmare. Nobody said anything when we took the boat or during the cruise. When I realized that we won't get to Sorrento, where by the way parked the car, I asked a member of the crew who was very amused by my concerns and who said that we could take a taxi from Castelmare to Sorrento. Of course, a lot of other tourists were affected, some with small children. I don't know if this is usual here but I strongly reccomend NOT to buy online from this company and even skip their services...which, by the way are not cheap and might be very unpredictible.

Scammer artists! Avoid! They will cancel and take your money

Horrible! They canceled our ferry last minute due to “weather” although all the other ferries were leaving and my husband asked for a refund. They told him to send an email. He did and now they are claiming that the ferry did run and that we missed it! I read this company was a fraud and should have believed the reviews. I highly recommend you avoid them. They are scammers and will even cancel if they feel they don’t sell enough tickets according to an employee. We will be reporting them.

AVOID at all costs and use a different company!

We paid €160 for a return ferry ride from Sorrento to Amalfi. The ferry left Sorrento 1 hour late, leaving us little time in Amalfi and then it didn’t even bother to turn up for the return journey! No communication, the ticket office was closed and not manned (unlike the other ferry companies) we were left totally stuck. Ended up having to pay another €80 to travel back with a different company. I have raised a dispute to claim a refund but reading other reviews I am not hopeful. Be careful which ferry you chose as 2 hours in Amalfi ended up costing us €240!! AVOID this company at all costs
